Knowing someone's age is necessary in certain situations, but it can be difficult to keep track of. Luckily, Excel offers a formula that makes it easy to calculate age quickly and accurately. Here are the simple steps to do it.

First, enter the birthdate into cell A1. Make sure to use the format mm/dd/yyyy. In cell A2, enter the current date. You can either enter the date manually or use the =TODAY() function.

Once you have both dates entered into the sheet, you can calculate the age using the DATEDIF formula. The formula should look like this: =DATEDIF(A1,A2,"y")

The “y” in the formula stands for year and will calculate the number of years between the two dates. If you want to calculate the age in other units such as months, weeks, or days, you can enter “m”, “w”, or “d” instead.

Once you enter the formula, Excel will calculate the age and display the result in the cell. If the result is negative, then you may need to check your data entry because the birthdate needs to come before the current date.

In conclusion, calculating age with Excel formulas is a quick and easy way to get accurate results. All you need to do is enter the birthdate and current date into the sheet, then use the DATEDIF formula to calculate the age.
